When I was a little girl I lived in Edison, NJ with my parents, two brothers and our many pets. Like most kids, I loved to play with my friends, but when I was alone I had no trouble finding something to do. I loved to draw, color, paint and make toys out of things from around the house.
It wasn't until 2000 and three years after my twins, Justin and Samantha, were born that I decided to pick up the pen again. Reading to my kids every day seemed to awaken that sleeping writer in me.

My first book was a picture book, titled, “Recipes, Spells and Secrets-the Enchanted Book." Even though the book was never published it became the basis for the Penelope and Priscilla series.

Me at Storybookland-age 9
I made these Penelope and Priscilla dolls a couple of years ago. They accompany me to all of my book events.
When I went to school, I learned that I could combine my love of drawing and coloring with words to tell a story using my imagination.

At the age of eight, I wrote my first picture book, "The Castle."
Some of my favorite books when I was little were Cinderella, Raggedy Ann and Andy and To Market, To Market.
Over the next couple of years, as I continued to write short stories based on my home life, I also learn how to sculpt in clay, sew and crochet. I guess you can say that my mind was never quiet and I never sat still.

I didn't write much over the next twenty years, but instead attended college and spent my time sculpting, and learning how to paint in watercolor and acrylics.
