I would like you to know that I have been visiting schools and libraries for more than four years. I love to meet young readers and their teachers and share my story of how I created the Penelope and Priscilla Series of Books. I hope that my visit will be inspiring. I want students to know how important it is for them to follow their dreams. I also want to show them how with passion, determination and hard work anything is possible.
New to the program in 2007, are Penelope and Priscilla’s secret laboratory table and animal characters from the series. I created these props not only because I enjoy crafting and creating, but also because I wanted to bring my stories to life and provide a magical experience for the students.
I started my “The Magic of Writing Workshop” in spring of 2006 and have really been enjoying working with students, helping them to find their creative sides. My goal with regard to the workshop is to inspire students to be creative in their writing and to help them expand their creative writing vocabulary.
I hope you will decide to contact me about bringing these wonderful programs to your school.

Author Fees
Please Note: Fees are for the 2007-2008 school year.
full day fee $800.00 (for “Meet the Author and “Magic of writing program) and $250.00 each session. ˝ day sessions-$400.00
Please Note: A $125.00 deposit is required to hold the date. After you contact me to schedule a visit I will send you a confirmation letter, after which your deposit is expected. Please make checks out to Twin Monkeys Press.

Book
This fee applies to all school visits whose policy or preference is to not have a
book sale along with my author visit.
Book
A Book Sale is a standard part of my school visits. I expect that all grade levels with which I meet will receive the “Letter to Parents” and book order form. Having a signed copy of either of my books will no doubt complete the experience for the student.
Discount:
I will also offer the books at a discounted
rate:
$11.95 for Penelope and
Priscilla and the Enchanted House of Whispers. The
retail cost-is $13.95.
$12.95 for Penelope and
Priscilla and the City of the Banished. The
retail cost is $14.95.
Please Note: If you do not wish to have a book sale or if
your school policy prohibits a
book sale, an adjustment fee of $200.00 will
apply to your visit.
I will provide you with a “Letter To Parents” that is customized for your visit, which
will explain my visit to parents and includes a book order form to purchase
autographed copies of my books prior to my arrival. I request that
all participating classroom teachers copy and distribute copies of this letter to
their students about 2 - 3 weeks before my visit so that I may have the books
prepared before my visit.
Getting Your Book Orders to
Me
Please email me with the book orders one week before my
visit so that I may have the books signed and ready to go. Be sure to include the student’s
name, class/teacher, title of book(s) ordered, and to whom each book should
be personalized to. You may also mail
me the orders but I ask that you notify me to let me know that you have done
so.
Please Note: I will send you your complementary
copies of my books two weeks prior to my visit so that you may have time to
introduce students to my series.
Please Note: I will bring some books in the event someone did not submit their order form in time. I will also accept orders up to one week after my visit. Just contact me.

There are some ways that you can help prepare your students for my
visit.
Introduce your class to my book series.
Read Chapter One of my first book, Penelope and Priscilla and the Enchanted
House of Whispers.
Read my biography to the students.
Discuss other popular books about magic.

so that you may have time to introduce students to my series.
