Letters from Teachers and Liberians

Dear Jennifer Troulis,

Thank you so much for taking time to share your love of writing with the children of Franklin Township!

Your program for children and parents on Tuesday, July 17, was an enjoyable experience for all.  I noticed that they particularly enjoyed the hands-on activities you offered, as well as hearing about how your stories came to be written.  It was exciting to see things from your books come to life!

Thanks you again, and we look forward to more of your books!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Troulis is an amazing author.  Her creative writing workshop was so vivid and full of imagery the students couldn't wait to put their feather pens to the "special" paper.  Jennifer's special treasure box was full of so many wonderful and strange surprises that even the sixth graders wanted to know if it was "real"!  She even created writers out of those that were most reluctant.  Although Jennifer Troulis' main characters are females, the boys loved the workshop and their creations of a magic spell.  This is one workshop you want to put on your schedule for the school year.

Highly recommended for Grades 4-6!

God bless you Jennifer....the students really enjoyed it and couldn't wait to get home to show their parents the work.  Can't beleive the 2 orders came from boys!

See you soon,

Lynne

To Whom It May Concern:

It is my honor to recommend Mrs. Troulis.  She is a wonderful presenter who brings her books to life right before the students.  Mrs. Troulis brings the writing process to the listener in a way that is both entertaining and educational.  Her visuals on her book demonstrate how a book goes from an idea to a printed copy.  Mrs. Troulis even discusses how she had to self publish her book, reinforcing the concept of never giving up when you believe in yourself.  Her presentation is on grade level and is rewarding to all who are there.  I truly believe that you and your students will enjoy her immensely.

From the boy who kept asking, “How can I buy your book?” to the twins who were enthralled by the notion of a set of magical sisters, the students were engaged in your presentation from start to finish.  Your incorporation of visual and tactile aids. . .addressed the varied senses of the students and allowed them all to take part in the presentation.
