Jennifer Troulis was born in Perth Amboy New Jersey in the late 1960’s. For as long as she can remember she was creative. Coloring, making play foods with clay and painting were her favorite things to do when she was a little girl. When she started school she discovered writing. She loved to write and illustrate stories based on her family and her pets. Jennifer is happy to say that she still has her early stories. As Jennifer grew up, she learned to sculpt in plaster and clay and draw and paint in acrylics and watercolors.

It was not until 2000, after the birth of her twins, Justin and Samantha, that Jennifer took up writing again. Inspired by some of the picture books she had read her children, she decided that she would try her hand at writing and illustrating a picture book. The manuscript for “Recipes, Spells and Secrets-the Enchanted Book” took her six months to write but it was never published.

Three years later, she self-published the first book in the Penelope and Priscilla Series, “Penelope and Priscilla and the Enchanted House of Whispers.” Jennifer also completed the books chapter illustrations and cover artwork. Four years later, in February 2007, she published the second book in the series, “Penelope and Priscilla and the City of the Banished.”

Jennifer now lives in Dunellen, New Jersey with her husband, Jim, two children, Justin and Samantha and my three dogs, Madison, Felicity and Lily. When she is not spending time with her family and working on the third book in the series, “Penelope and Priscilla and the Curse of the Moon Shadow Rose”, which is due to be released in October 2008, she is busy marketing and promoting her series.
